| From the Where2sing.com forum: BOO to Northmead Bowlo's management! Dagnabbit. After I had to go and fork out $ to become a member before they'd even let me in to participate in karaoke too!
I hope Popsicles gets another gig soon too cos they run a great show. I can't understand why the karaoke was abandoned. Good crowds each time I've gone, diverse levels of talent so no elitism, comps were run fairly, the sound's great and Murray the KJ was always working to make the show better and better, using technology to the point where the names of each upcoming singer would appear on screen to give them a chance to prepare themselves. At the recent grand final, the singers' scores by the judges were displayed too.
I really thought that show was just going to continue to get better. The 'baton round' was a cool idea too (where 10 songs are played with no break, the singers put their names down to perform the songs and hands the mic to each other as one exits stage and one enters. That was a fun activity). For a while, some karaokers were able to get their own gigs at the club using Popsicle's music and gear if required. Murray really did his best to give that club great entertainment and this is what he gets for it! This sucks! Me sad now.

Well... That's it. I just sent through my email to Channel 7. I did manage to condense it but it was still lengthy as I threw in points of interest. I decided to justify its length with hinting interest in any other projects going that they think I may be suitable for. Don't be hating! Fame & fortune is what I have my sights on. It just so happens that I also enjoy karaoke every bit as much as the next person. =)
