Well, coming up to 4am, just got back from St Marys RSL. Great show. Have just realized how frozen my fingers are after my walk back from the train station cos they are typing at about one tenth normal speed! LOL (Not kidding!).
Great show. Sorry to turn up so late but trains don't run that often to get there, I discovered and then, there was the hair which took well longer than it should have. However, I got a song in (Little Egypt) which I had not sung in years and only practised in the shower before leaving. Nice compliments from folk.
At night's end, when asked what I thought of the place, I said, 'It's like Chatswood with Westies.' Very enjoyable time. Quite a few good singers there too which I wasn't expecting.
Joan, you really blew me away with your closing song. LOVED it! Don't think I'd heard it before but that powerful voice of yours is terrific!!
It's always lovely to see you and Foster and I look forward to attending that gig again.

netta...
Thank you very much for the lift to the station. In hindsight, it may have been better to walk as I had a LONG wait till the bus arrived. Ah well, I got to talk for a while to the Sudanese security guard on duty which was a nice way to pass the time.
You have a lovely, sweet voice and it was very nice to meet you. I hope next time we get more of a chance to talk. With a bit of time, I am sure you will start to understand my humour a bit better ;) You have an unusual innocence - sweet voice, kind nature (giving me a lift and worrying about your friend's well being) and not knowing when I was being ridiculously sarcastic just to tease you a little. It's very endearing. (Don't bother Lex for a translation, I'm just saying, 'I like you' - but using more words =)).
Thank you also for your compliments on my voice. Much appreciated =)
And I DO SO have facial hair! It's only been a few days so I'm not going to look like Robinson Crusoe or Tom Hanks in Castaway just yet, y'know? ;)

puss in boots...
Cheeky as always weren't ya? lol. Nice to see you. Wish I got to hear you sing though. Well, next time, eh?

catman & A Cowboy's Sweetheart...
Sorry to not have seen you tonight. I hope Ray mends soon and Legend recovers from his weariness. It was interesting to meet Legend's brother at the club. Their beards are so similar!

Lex...
I'll let you know if I will be coming to St Pat's tonight. First, some sleep and then we'll see how I feel tomorrow / today. Fingers are up to half speed now but still dang slow and still cold!! It's taken me nearly half an hour just to get this far! Gee whiz! First the hairdo taking forever and now my typing too!!
I don't think that temperature reading of 0 degrees we saw was right. Maybe it was supposed to be 10... However, on the walk back from my 'local' station (about the same distance netta drove us before dropping me off), I was beginning to think it had merit! Brrrrrrrrr!!! Actually, even as I sit here with my heater on, I think the temperature outside is still dropping cos I ain't getting much warmer.
Still in the mood for singing, dang it all. Oh well, perhaps tonight, eh? Been slack on the recording front though, so may get engrossed with that today instead of karaoke. We'll see.
