Lex...JECP...
Alright. I'm comin' to St Pat's!! (and yes folks, Burning Love sounded GREAT. Lex really made it her own song and it worked a treat). Got a couple of little things to take care of before I can get away so I probably won't be there for starting time but then, I doubt you thought I would be, eh? lol Probably gonna arrive a bit after 6, I estimate so that probably means I'll get there at ten to nine.... =P (exaggerating, of course).

netta...
See? SWEET! Worrying cos I waited a long time... Not your fault at all, m'dear! =) I was happy to accept the offer of a lift. Not just cos it beat walking in the frosty air but cos we got a little extra time to get to know each other better.
Actually, I just remembered you can be a little cheeky too (in a good way). 'How much hairspray do you use?' LOL That cracked me up!
Thank you too for YOUR kind words! =) Yes, I'll head to St Marys again but next time I'll be much EARLIER! Probably still a little late, knowing me but not THAT late. =P Hopefully, next time you'll be up for more dancing than last night ;) No chance you could pop into St Pat's TONIGHT, is there? It's FUN! You'll LIKE it!

puss in boots...
SEE? CHEEKY! 'Earlier than usual' indeed! What - and ruin my reputation? LOL Regarding Burning Love, besides Wynonna, I know that Melissa Etheridge sang Burning Love years back in a tribute concert which showed just how slack people are at singing Elvis. Tammy Wynette sang Teddy Bear in an ootsy cutesy fashion but she looked hot, so it still worked. The only guy who did justice to the material was Chris Isaak who sang Blue Moon and impressed Scotty Moore (Elvis' original guitarist) very much. The Scorpions were okay with their tribute to Marie's the Name (of His Latest Flame) too but the singer had that annoying country, gargling tone so prevalent today in country music and for me, Elvis was popular for his VOICE more than the music so if someone's gonna perform in a tribute concert, they better have a nice sounding voice too. That's just my opinion.
Anyway, see you next time, cheeky!

A Cowboy's Sweetheart...
Yes, you'll have to put up with my company tonight if you are heading to St Pat's. Heheheh. I was wondering last night if my sad whiskery effort was responsible in part for keeping me warmer than usual cos the gals were freezing whereas I was okay. Of course netta had a short skirt an no stockings and lex doesn't have any natural insulation to speak of and I of course had my Matrix coat, so that could have had more to do with it, I suppose....

Music Addict...
Indeed you will have to con them into it. I suggest the Mount Druitt / St Pat's gig since you are more into the smaller venues from what I have observed. The St Marys RSL gig is the bigger, glitzier and louder model. I think I enjoy the bigger crowd venues more cos singing in front of small groups used to make me nervous whereas singing in front of large crowds doesn't for reasons unknown to me.
If travelling by train, St Pat's is definitely station friendly. Bit of a hike with the St Marys gig but I don't mind that.
Arrival at Mt Druitt station is a little off putting but once you enter St Pat's Tavern, all that goes right out the window cos it's very nice. Kinda like the TARDIS in that outside: shabby, inside: WOW! Actually, that's harsh. the tavern looks nice outside too with it's flashing red and green lights on the roof so, let's compare it with the TARDIS when the light is flashing and it's materializing / dematerializing instead. Heheheh. So nice to be able to draw on common likes to explain something! LOL
