Ceepat...
I've never heard anyone compare themselves with a dancing hippo before. LOL. But hey, that hippo was cute! Maybe not eye candy cute but cute all the same! Still looking forward to hearing you sing! Hopefully soon!

Good stuff man! The more I read about you, the more I want to hear you sing!
I know what you mean regarding pigeon holing and like you, I love to sing stuff from all over the place (earliest for me is 1871 - thanks to starring 10 years ago as the title character in Gilbert & Sullivan's first musical: The Sorcerer - it's nice to have more than 2 centuries of music at my disposal). I think I'm only really compared with Elvis for the fact that his style (from start to end of career) suits me and for sharing physical similarities with the young version of the guy - namely, build and hair style, not to mention certain leg movements but that started out natural for me just as it did for him. However, our voices are a little different. Some notes, you can't tell us apart but a lot of notes, it's pretty easy to do so. When not singing his stuff, I rarely sound much like him at all unless the style of song is similar. Then again, that's probably more to do with the fact that a lot of other stuff is higher than his which takes me even further out of my comfort range so that it basically becomes ALL technique / vocal tricks instead of what just comes naturally.

Tom...
Indeed! Don't you just HATE when that happens? LOL
