From the Where2sing.com forum:

Woo hoo (kind of). I just got my confirmation of audition time from Channel 7 for their upcoming singing game show. Unfortunately, it's at a crummy time for me due to work committments. I'm hoping they can accommodate my request for a later arrival than requested. If not, I'll just have to try my hand at The Singing Bee when they hold auditions. I checked out the American version on You Tube the other day and I have to say, it looks like easy money! So easy in fact that I wonder how the Aussie version will compare $ wise. Plus the singing bee dancing girls were mm mm eye candy indeed! Hope we get some of those in the show here too. Heheheh.

Tom...
Indeed it was on and I agree with you about the sabotage that goes on there. Even the spirits in the main auditorium section for Friday night gigs had been removed I noticed the other night. The newbie bartender merely cited this fact thinking that was it before his colleague pointed out that he could fetch the requested spirit from the adjacent bar. However, my point is, had it not been for that fact, I would have had to get my drink from a different bar section of the club thus undermining the value of the karaoke to bring income in except for beer, wine and soft drink consumers. As I said, this was just the other night so I am hoping it has not become a permanent thing.
Last night saw karaoke competing with soccer and Garry and Di did cop some flak from someone about 'what if we get 50 people in here and only 12 of them are singers?' Hardly supportive of the show, is it? I really don't know what the staff's problem is with it and why they give these 2 such a hard time considering what karaoke has done for the place.
