Gotta love Queen!! Jovi have some great songs too. Zeppelin are catchy but a bit too hard for me to really get into but to each their own, eh? :)
In case you're missing that old style rock in modern music, check out The Darkness if you haven't already. I love that they play up just how glam rock they really are. You can usually find their song, 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' on lists. If you can keep up with Freddie and Zeppelin, I don't think you'll have any problem with that one.
Whatever the server trouble at Singshot, it shouldn't be long now from the looks of things. I now have 5 songs showing - pity they are still unplayable for the moment. My guess is that once the last song uploads fully, then all should play. I hope so. I really want to see how that Barry White one turned out.
Just for the record, I was experimenting with many by singing down the octave but there's still the few done normally too. Actually, I took delight in singing Elvis' 'A Fool Such As I' cos I got to fool around doing bass backing too which is something I love - especially when a low note is showcased (such as, in this instance, the line: 'Now and then, there's a fool such as I').
I hope David will allow links to Singshot. I mean, it IS karaoke even if only of the home variety.
If you want inspiration for how good some amateur performers can be, check out 18 years young 'Musicislife' singing Carolyn Dawn Johnson's 'Complicated' and Shania Twain's 'Up' to her webcam. She's got a lot of potential that girl imo.
Like live karaoke, the site has its shockers too but as many of us know, karaoke is just a great, fun activity for all.
