catman...
Came out a bit cattier than I had meant but hey, I was very tired when typing that.
LOVE your comeback to Robert A! LOL
I can understand someone not hearing how they sound when they sing but when they listen to a recording, I mean, isn't it OBVIOUS??? I wonder if he ever allowed himself to be hypnotized either at a stage show or for therapy for self confidence and had it suggested to him that he sounds absolutely brilliant as Elvis.... THAT would be the best explanation I can think of to compensate for his very different take on his voice from the rest of us. Mind you, I DID hear him sing in key at St Marys when he passed by my table and was singing along with the person on stage. It made a nice change, so credit given where due.
As for being 'good natured most of the time,' well, that's like excusing the serial killer who is 'a model citizen most of the time' in my book. I'm afraid Robert A. doesn't make THIS Santa's 'Nice' list. I'll be cordial to him but if he decides to insult my singing to my face as he has with you (rather than behind my back as I have heard) and if I think it unwarranted - and find myself in a particularly nasty mood - I shall have little hesitation in letting him know what I think of his vocal efforts. I'll be diplomatic but honest, all the same. I don't believe in humouring delusions if the result is the deluded one taking to putting other people down.

ACS...
I forgive you. I'm sure I would have done the same! LOL. It was funny and I'm sure it would have cleared up any confusion as to my priestliness to see puss in boots on my lap.
I give you kudos for singing when shopping. I usually keep it down for fear of disturbing anyone and shut up completely when in close proximity. Maybe it's all those aisles reminding me of a library where one HAS to be quiet...
My apologies btw. I was so tired when typing that post. I was dozing at the keyboard and would wake to find I'd typed in some dream elements and absolute gibberish as well which took all my concentration to edit out. LOL. Anyway, in that sleepy stupor, I forgot to say how great it was to see Wayne in attendance, looking much healthier than I had expected. It was nice to chat with him too as we usually have rather restricted conversations. It was incredible to hear the whole leg breaking episode in full. VERY tough fellow indeed to come through that one. He's got a brain too. Signalling his absence by doing the only thing he could by chucking his cap out from underneath that 1 ton of whatever was a very cool headed move. I respect that. Sorry I missed his singing but never mind. Now that he's getting out and about, I am sure to hear him again. Let him heal up a lot more before heading to the Brewhouse though. Bit too risky to attend with such bad injuries, I think. Not necessarily for scuffles but just with so many people bustling about, accidents can happen. St Pats is definitely safest for him right now.
