| From the Where2sing.com forum: Bojo: As Kev has said, I wouldn't worry too much about gig comments aside from taking them on board if needed. Your crowd should come from the local community with the occasional visit from w2s'rs. You need to focus on involving your local community and converting them to regulars. Yes, some venues are much more suited to this.. but them's the breaks. As a host, you shouldn't accept just any venue, only take on what you think will work. w2s'rs use much more than gig comments to decide where to go. For me, its much more about transport access, venue facilities, parking and atmosphere more so that someone whining about sound or the songlist. In fact, I actually really like a few of the cheaper companies that some might not be too fond of.. because they pick the right venue and very rarely is the sound completely screwed.
