| From the Where2sing.com forum: Johnny, thanks for enlightening me about Singshot. Yes I was referring to MicRophone's suggestion of a recorded session. Clearly Singshot is the shape of things to come if they get the licensing right. Unfortunately, I don't have a broadband connection readily available, so won't be able to participate in near future. I also note that if one is singing direct to computer there will be no effects like reverb necessary to sound like the artist. But it looks like a great idea. I might go ahead, however, on my own tack and experiment with some recording of public domain songs. I realize that Aura Lee, Beautiful Dreamer and Kentucky Babe might not be everyone's cup of tea (mine neither) but better than being sued. If they work out, I'll put them up on the Web. It's not really karaoke but home recording is a related hobby in its own right. It's not as immediately rewarding as audience applause but in some ways is more sincere -ie- de recorder don't lie.
