Wow Lex! You continue to surprise me with your technical knowledge. Incidentally, it doesn't always take a long time for the songs to save at ksolo. I think it's just internet traffic congestion to blame there. I've had some songs take a minute to save and others only 10 seconds (broadband connection).

LeatherBaron...
That's right - ksolo has no time lag and instant playback. Major selling point for me. With preview recordings, the lyrics may seem to light up out of sync but the saved versions generally are fine. Sound wise, they're perfect.

Tom...
LOL Too true!
I recently met a woman who is a friend's agent and she has a marvellous vocal quality yet she thinks she can't sing!
I'm kinda sceptical of that claim by these people. When I was a kid, I had a pretty good voice but I was shy and humble about it (yes - ME! HUMBLE! SHY! LOL). I felt I was a better singer than other kids my age (or even Aled Jones) but vocal heroes like Elvis and Engelbert Humperdink were just leagues ahead of me I felt at the time, so even though I knew I COULD sing, the standards I was judging my own voice by were just so high that whenever I was given a compliment like, 'WOW you've got such a great voice!' I'd say, 'Not really.' After my voice broke, I was still getting the compliments. It wasn't till I heard Harry Connick Jnr's breathiness on his Red Light, Blue Light album that I realized my voice was acceptable by industry standards.
I think these talented folk who say they can't sing but still take the time to TRY, obviously know they CAN sing. Perhaps they too just are comparing themselves with their idols whose voices they prefer and don't think themselves worthy of high praise.
I've met many singers with great voices who lack the confidence in their own greatness.
I still don't agree with most folk's high opinions of my vocal quality but I do now know I have some talent in that department, at least. Folks with great voices who both hold tunes and give such moving deliveries of songs but say they can't sing ANNOY me. LOL. Get some confidence dammit, I say! ;) Just don't be an ass about it. That seems to be the problem with the folks who have the confidence minus the talent and yes, even some who have both. So long as they don't start acting superior because of their talent, I don't see anything wrong with singers having confidence in their capabilities. Humility's cute but confidence minus arrogance is far more attractive.
