Hey all!
Hope you're all well or even better. :)
Just wondering: Who else here has a ksolo account set up and can I have your username to search for? I'm really eager to hear some more of the talent w2s-ers have to show off. I've heard Lex and A Cowboy's Sweetheart already.
I was surprised to find today that I am still the most popular debut artist there. Thought I would have been superseded by now.
The Barry White one was pretty popular but I believe my latest recording there is now my best song. It's Elvis' version of 'Holly Leaves & Xmas Trees' which I only just learned with a few runs through just before recording (I have heard it before a few times but this was my first time to actually sing it which was fun cos it's a rare one of his as far as I know).
I rerecorded my version of Superman too. Still not perfect but meh. That's another one I'd heard but not really known, so decided to have a crack at it. Even though it's down the octave from what it should be, I think it's an okay rendition.
So, I've added those 2 to my repertoire now for future karaoke outings. I'm really starting to appreciate the value of online karaoke now. Before, it was just fun and testing out my limits but now, I also see it as a terrific means of rehearsing if you're into that. I still don't quite grasp the idea of rehearsal for social karaoke unless you really LOVE the song and are keen to do it the best you can in an effort to get your audience to love it too. I only LIKE most of the songs I do and even DISlike or only tolerate a few so I don't really give them much thought beyond just knowing the tune reasonably enough, even if it's for a competition. I do, however, practise duets, just so that if I find someone to sing with, I can be reasonably confident to not put them off musically.

So there's a QUESTION:-
Do YOU practise your songs? If so, for what reasons? Is it just for your audience's greater enjoyment or is it so you can feel good about how well you did the song or is it out of fear of embarrassment if you mess up or do you only practise for competitions or duets or for some completely different reason(s)?
