From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hi catman...
Yup. I watched almost the whole thing from the rooftop of the apartment building I live in. Great stuff. Loved the lunar theme idea. Given I travel everywhere by public transport I wouldn't invest too much into a costume myself. I already freaked one bus driver out years back when I was still doing musicals and caught the bus home after a dress rehearsal. Was dressed in my then normal biker attire (think Elvis in Roustabout) but I still had the full on make up from the show. That was embarrassing. Leather PLUS makeup??? Well, you can imagine the thoughts people would have about that! LOL.
Next time I travelled in costume was as the Headless Horseman for a Halloween karaoke in Marrickville / Henson Park. That was okay once the driver understood I was headed (accidental pun) to a costume party. However, on arrival, outside, was a dog belonging to one of the karaokers. The poor thing yelped and howled in terror. I opened up the chest part of my costume to show my head was still intact and merely covered by the makeshift fake torso but there was no consoling the poor beast. In fact, I think the sight of my head sticking out of my apparent chest cavity may have scared the dog more. I apologized to both the dog and (later) the owner. Felt TERRIBLE for that! (and yes, the dog had seen me on previous occasions, looking normal and I received no such reaction to my normal face, thank you very much!).
So anyway, perhaps, in tribute to the eclipse, we should all make do singing songs that have lunar themes! I worked it out ages ago that there are tons of songs with mention of the moon so we shouldn't be short of material.
