Songbird67 & Kev...
Sounds like just the occasion to get me to attend Peaky at long last!

Songbird, just regarding your sound levels at ksolo, in that case, it is the mic level into your computer being too loud. Assuming you are using Windows, if you don't already have the volume icon on your task bar, go to:-
Start-->Settings-->Control Panel, then open Sounds And Multimedia, then select the Audio tab which will open up your volume control settings.
Click Options-->Properties
Select 'Recording'-->Ok
Be sure Microphone is selected (or Line In if that's what you use) and lower the volume there. As my microphone is quite sensitive, I have the volume fader at between 2nd and 3rd notch on the volume setting. At ksolo, I also have the mic volume very low and when recording, I can only just hear myself over the playback for most songs. Playback of the recording, the vocals come through much louder. If I had it adjusted to hear myself perfectly while recording, it could distort. I'm only pushing ksolo because there is zero lag time and once you have your volume settings sorted, I think it beats any other site hands down but to each their own. ;)
