Can't really be bothered catching up on all the posts i missed, i could be here for a couple more days just reading!
Rob, shame i didn't have interenet before sunday, i would have come down. I was hanging for some karaoke on sunday but couldn't be bothered going all the way to pendle hill so i ended up punishing myself by going to scruffy murphys for one song off their crap list and then went up to see the Wildcatz at the 3 wise monkeys, (great cover band). I knew I had an hour and a half before they were due on stage so that was just enough time to get one song in. and i only had to put up with drag queens telling bad jokes and talking over everyones songs for about an hour before i could do my song and leave! lol.
I noticed we're talking about fave and least fave venues, as I'm sure is due to the new forum sign in process for non-members. Well, no 3 guesses where my least fave is, but I'd have to agree with Music addict on faves, although I've only been to St Pats once, they have a great list, Kellys too has a great list, lots of cool and interesting regulars and a great host but cos it's so popular there's always such a long time between songs. Paddy's would have to win my fave. Appreciative crowd, but not all singers so you get a few in, and a great host, good food, nice staff, easy to get to. The list isn't great but I bring my own discs along anyway so that doesn't matter. Infact anyone that wants to see Jason and I chalenge each other to wierd, often embaresing and sometimes quite painful songs should come along. This week, purely by coincidence, as we didn't know what each other was going to pick when we picked them, Jason will be singing, Man, I Feel Like A Woman, and I will be singing, You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman! Should be interesting and better than last week when the poor audience had to put up with Jason's not quite Spanish version of Macarena and me doing Nicky Webster's Strawberry Kisses! Jason I maintain, you are evil! But I'll probably see u tomorrow at St Pats.
