Yes. Felt like a rugby maul too! Was most uncomfortable with those tosspots bothering us as we just tried to enjoy our song. I noticed one idiot had turned the stage right speaker around to face backwards so I don't know how that affected the sound. I guess it would have bounced back off the wall so not made too much of a difference.
A Newcastle visit in future sounds great provided you're somewhere near a train station. What's the company name you use for your gigs so I know where to find you in the gig guide? I have friends up that way so might be able to rope them into a night out. Might not be for a while yet but I'd love to get up there and check out your show when I get the chance.
I don't know why you'd worry about looking up at the monitors at Mic Rophone's gig. Aren't you USED TO looking up anyway? =P

Physical height's nothing really given your energy levels make you seem a couple of feet taller anyway. Plus, check out your gal! (I'm sure you do as often as possible). She obviously didn't let height worry her - or is she just tiny and you're taller anyway and I just didn't notice that either? Hehehe.

Of course I'll show you some magic tricks. I love performing them. Songbird and Puss In Boots had a small sampling of my limited repertoire when we first met but this last couple of weeks I've learned some MORE cool ones and today, was introduced to a few mind twisting ones courtesy of my professional magician friend whom I met through (you guessed it!) karaoke!
On the train home, I entertained some lovely young women (whom I took to be Korean by their speaking but claimed to be Japanese and one of whom said thank you in Mandarin so I still don't know where they were from). One of them spotted me practising a trick and they all then coerced me (by cheering) into doing some magic for them. They made my night by cheering even more loudly, laughing and applauding enthusiastically after I blew them away with a couple of simple illusions. It's not often you hear an Asian person screaming, 'Bravo! Encore!' so that was interesting. They were sorry (as was I) that I wasn't hopping off at Town Hall Station with them. They asked if I was a magician and I responded that I was actually a singer to which I got the response, 'But you LOOK like a magician with your long coat and magician's necklace.' They even threw in that I looked like 'The Matrix' too. LOL No escaping that label with this coat is there? Lex has told me I have a magician's look too. Interesting coincidence. Better than 'priest' any day! LOL
At that point (as the girls departed), I had hoped to come out to St Pats but it was already after 8pm, so had to give it a miss this week *pouts* I SHOULD have got off at the station with them. Who knows what my night could have been like then? Mwa ha ha ha ha ha! *sighs*
