Hehehe. Funny. I wonder if he still would have recognized me had you not said anything. Hmmm. Maybe not! Still, glad he did. I wound up getting half my drinks free that night and he was one of the contributors.
I get that a lot too - being recognized or rather, confused for someone else. Some people think I have a karaoke double out there which I find rather unlikely given my somewhat unique appearance whether close up or at a distance. Maybe some folk need to book an appointment with the optometrist. Often folks who DO recognize me will insist that they remember seeing me do a move on stage where I throw the microphone up in the air, spin on the spot and catch it when I am again facing the audience. I have NEVER done that move, effective as it would be. If it was my own expensive radio microphone to play with, yes, I might try it but if it's someone else's? No way!

Happy birthday to your jolly (cheeky) giant of a husband! Many happy returns! What a confusing expression. Sounds like, 'May you have to return all your gifts to exchange them because you don't like them but may it be cool to do so if you do,' doesn't it? If that's the case, I say NO returns of any kind and may he receive the good gifts only! ;)
