Let us be real about this. I am sure Johnny is a nice guy but the Guest did not attack his character. It would seem to me that all she was doing is critiquing Johnny on his performance last night and on his marketability which Johnny has said is what he wants to do in life. Guest was just judging Johnny on possibly being a performer in the entertinament industry that Johnny has said he thinks he has the potential to do. Being a nice person has nothing to do with that ... is Robbie Williams a nice person, Christina Aguilera, Michael Buble, Mick Jagger ?? ... who knows. That is irrelevant for an entertainer. What is relevant is whether they can sing, and perform to a wide audience and be marketable in that respect which is all Guest seems to have judged him on.
Guest or anyone does not have to be perfect in looks or personality or sing or anything to be able to judge someone who says they want to get up and sing and perform and can 'make it' as a star in their own right which is what Johnny has said he can.
As for the boiling point article, let us first think of who writes these articles ... non-subscribers use them to get access to the parts of the site they need points for so a person could have made it up to get access. Secondly, I agree that karaoke is seen by most accomplished singers etc as silly and an insult (a place for drunken louts getting up ... general community feel for karaoke ... so natural that an accomplished singer with a good ear does get embarrassed when there are so many bad singers that do karaoke). But if you read that post with an open mind you see that the person is actually saying they wish they could get past that cos they would love to do it.
Just don;t think you really saw what the Guest was trying to say or the boiling point article!
