I think the person who wrote the article on the front page wants to get up at karaoke , but has watched too many ''woeful wailers'' butchering great tunes & cant overcome the cringe factor . This is a point that Tom has alluded to frequently .Those of us who are more accepting of ordinary (or worse) singers , often don't realise that the general populas for some reason , seem to judge Karaoke more by the worst singers , rather than the best singers , & that a couple of real ''shockers'' (singers) can leave an indelable ''stain'' on the reputation of an otherwise fairly high standard gig ...

Criticism of any sort is hard to cop for any of us & as you more than anyone else in these forums puts your ambitions & ego on the line (vital qualities for any performer in the entertainment industry) you leave youself vunerable & open to debate . The fact that you can consider constructive criticism shows you're intelligent , mature & willing to learn. Many people have been told by ''experts'' , they lack it in certain areas (just ask ME !! ) ... but they've worked hard , kept the faith & realised their dreams . Keep at it , I am , Paul Potts did .... it's soooo worth it !! .... lol..
