Mic Rophone...
The Mile High Club prize sounded interesting but public loos of any kind are off putting so I'll give that a miss LOL

Netta...
Yay!!! You'll have a great time there, I'm sure. Mic Rophone's gig rocks!

Lyn...
You were there and didn't say hi??? I was looking forward to meeting you! Oh well.
Sorry you had your laptop stolen. That's terrible!
Believe it or not, I have been considering creating a combination magic / music show. I'm impressed with your vision. Nice to know that as a model, you have something more than your looks going for you. So few do.
I actually meant to do those songs in reverse order and was going to wear the coat, buttoned up with my pendant over the top for the slow one, then do the second one as you saw but decided to just let go with the first and when my name was called before I had decided on the coat, I voted to stay recognisable. Why 1 slow song, 1 fast? I was advised to by the host's partner and it also happens to gel with previous competition experience in that with singing competitions, versatility is usually a plus. I used to find that going from slow to fast was usually a winning combination but as I keep saying here, I wasn't really fussed Wednesday night. I was unfamiliar with the songlist and arrived too late to have time to select more carefully so went with the first ones I recalled from the list that wouldn't see me repeating what I had already sung the previous week.
The girl who sang Tina's The Best was indeed in my group. Friend of a friend. Great voice but turned a bit nasty when she overindulged on the alcohol.
On the issue of marketability. The market is very diverse when it comes to music. There is more crossover of style today than ever before. There are more people buying music today than ever before and more ways to do so. There is greater appeal to wider audiences so it is not uncommon for teens to be enjoying the same music as grandparents. It is far easier to reach mass markets so that even capturing 2 percent of the overall market can make one a multi millionaire. If you think I couldn't reach even 2% then we have a problem. =P
Seeing me in a pub, minus a stage, on carpet, out of shape, dressed casually, unrehearsed, tipsy and not even trying is nothing to go by. See me when I'm on top of my game, sober, done up to the nines, doing songs I have taken the time to rehearse and I know your opinion would change quick smart. You wouldn't want someone judging you as a model based on a photograph of you just waking up in the morning. Would you? Of course not. You'd at least want to be judged by photos of you with the right lighting, angles, the right hairstyle and make up, etc. Think about that a bit, Lyn and ask yourself again if you've seen the best I have to offer.

Everyone...
I had my moment's weakness yesterday. It was not shared for a sympathy vote for me but rather to serve as a warning to Guest cos it usually takes a lot to rattle my cage like that and I was concerned that others with less fortitude might have total breakdowns or something if similarly confronted.
I believe I have overcome that weakness now. It no longer exists. In just 24 hours? Yep. I don't require months of soul searching in a Tibetan monastery; just time to contemplate which is pretty much all I have done for the past 24 hours and it is no longer an issue for me.
Ordinarily, I do not care to prove myself to naysayers but 3 in a row in a public forum and all in the space of a week warrants some attention. So to Lyn, Guest and Ray, I accept the challenge. I look forward to showing you and the rest of the world that I have what it takes to succeed BIG TIME and I intend to get my first big break within this next 12 months barring horrific tragedies befalling me such as death, maiming, brain damage or falling into some form of coma, so mark your calendars if you must cos I'm going to make each and every one of you eat your words - gladly or begrudgingly as the case may be.
Hey Lyn. Interested in appearing in music video clips? Not straight away obviously but down the track perhaps? I'm assuming you're one of the models with a body you'd be at ease doing bikini shoots with (not that that would be necessary for the clip but as a body type, I mean). Hey! I may have had issues with my looks prior to this post but there's no denying that sex sells and I don't have a problem with that.
Right now, I'm not looking my best but exercise and proper nutrition will change that (being broke tends to affect your eating habits, which affects your health, which affects your looks - and emotions [via hormonal imbalances]). Exercise once knocked several years off of my appearance. It can do so again. Back when I was impassioned to perform (whether in competitions or in musical theatre), I often had audiences in the palm of my hand even when I was singing lousy. I am so full of that same fire right now as I type this that I can almost hear my body humming with energy and I feel like I am glowing! Let us see how marketable this simple karaoke wannabe can become, shall we? ;)
