From the Where2sing.com forum:

wow Tom with all respect do we stop people from singing because they dont sound as good as the next person. If a venue is crowded and only one round of singers can fit in then maybe its time for you to go to the movies and let the new not so good singers have a go as this will help them improve.its Karaoke Tom and it is not just about you my freind its about excepting that there are all sorts of people in the world and we all need to share it.It is time to take responsibility as a singer and make room for the up and comings who knows there just may be a star out there waiting to have a go.you have to make a choice I guess weather you are enjoying the fun of the night or looking after your own self.If there is a queue to sing at a venue then as you say maybe it would pay to go to another venue or make your own fun while waiting.there is a saying ( if the music is to load your to old )
It is clear that Karaoke is a big part of your life as you do come to this site so it must be in your blood and if any changes need to be made as you say it is up to the consumer. you are one of the consumers that could make a change and the first change you may consider is the one you are the most in control of . And that is your attitude to what the night is really about ,having fun my freind if you are not doing this then perhapes its time for you to work out hw you are going to change to suit your enviroment.
Tom life is short start looking at the positives of a place full of people that can go out and enjoy the night rather then yourself and think about other places around the world that do not have this opportunity to do so.
