Tom my father worked in the Building Industry among other jobs, but I definitely don’t have a chip on my shoulder more like a bit of sawdust coming from my ears. Lol
I totally agree with you however on fair rotation.
I to would not stay or go again to a Karaoke Venue that was run as Mates and friends 1st and stuff the rest attitude.
In regards to lengthy waits between singers this is a problem to some, but I find that if the fun factor is happening at a Karaoke Venue then the wait is ok.
You can sit there and socialize, either close to the speakers or away from them, dance, play pokies or just sit there and listen and have a few sociable drinks and enjoy yourself.
I’ve found the best way is to either sing along with the singers and to also applaud.
By doing this even by yourself you can have a really good night and be part of the atmosphere.
I would rather have one song and enjoy myself than to go to a Karaoke venue where there are say 5 singers, 6 onlookers and get to do 10 songs but the fun factor is missing.
I don’t have an issue with wearing ear plugs or taking protective action against noise pollution and I was always the 1st to insist people wear protective hearing when entering engine rooms or other designated ear protection areas.
My comment was more about the way in which you wrote your post indicating that every Venue you visited in SA was loud.
Food for thought, some men might think its great not being able to hear their wives screaming across a table. Lol
LB Sorry but I don’t want to expand my business beyond what I have.
Ask Rob the reasons why.
Kind Regards
Kev
