Kev...
Thanks for the entertainment down at Peaky tonight / last night. On the one hand, pity it was such a small crowd this time but on the plus side, more songs and the crowd that was in attendance was primarily fun loving.
The lovely Kylie ought to sing methinks. Apparently, she only does so within the confines of her shower but I think she would probably object to an audience there. LOL
I was a little unprepared for the folks you thrust me upon to perform magic for. One of the girls was most unimpressed with my first illusion but I soon turned her around so that she was asking 'Do it AGAIN!' for a couple of my tricks.
Alas one of the illusions went completely wrong several times over till eventually, in Tommy Cooper style, in frustration, I threw it away! LOL (I still have no idea why it didn't work as I've performed it multiple times now to great effect. Bad luck I guess).
I questioned them as to if they sang and they told me they did but just were 'not in the mood' this night. I tried to get them fired up but it didn't work.
Rachel was suitably blown away by my illusions but rather like the other 2 girls, was only interested in those rather than in me, so I didn't go for phone numbers or anything alas. *sigh* Actually, Rachel STARTED off interested but I think as she drank more, she was far more easily distracted and I didn't want to impose on her fun filled evening so was happy to just entertain. She loved Sweet Child O' Mine (pity it was the shortened version). I loved her Dreams (Fleetwood Mac) rendition too. I'll be back and hopefully the crowd will be a bit bigger. Will refrain from gig comments at this stage cos it was an unusually quiet night which did affect the vibe of the gig. Still good, just not quite what I was expecting. ceepat and I reckon folk must have heard we (respectively) were coming and decided to avoid us. LOL

Music Addict...
Good to see you mate. Nice to learn something new about you too. Would not have picked you as a fellow practitioner of magic (even if 'out of practice'). Good song choice: Lips Of An Angel by Hinder. Will have to give that a whirl sometime myself!

ceepat, Lex, harpoet, SongBird67, puss in boots....
So great to catch up with each and every one of you for the birthday bash. That Lisa has a voice on her too (not to mention some great hip swinging moves)!
Playing musical tables as we seemed to be was perhaps not such a wise choice. I rather liked the set up of the first seating arrangement as we were all gathered around rather than isolated as with the latter 2 settings but hey, it was still great to enjoy your company and I didn't mind moving about to talk to everyone too much.
Nice to get 3 songs in. Shame the young kids were so into their metal / grunge songs but at least they also appreciated some of the other numbers in our respective repertoires.
Looking forward to catching up with you again.
SongBird67 & puss, it was lots of fun freaking you out with those illusions.

Mic Rophone...
You were noticed by your absence sir! Could have done with some of your energy last night man. I felt very subdued myself given I kicked off my evening with a new ballad for me rather than with something high energy as I usually would and my mood was thus influenced. harpoet was quite the party animal though! Your presence would have increased the energy of the evening, I think.

Fossie Bare...
I don't keep abreast (or any other body parts) of sporting events. What date is this grand final to which you refer?
