| From the Where2sing.com forum: Barri, are you serious? With bad queue management you wouldn't get to sing at all, whether single or with a friend. Indeed, that's the problem at poor venues - too many 'friends' singing. I agree 'if you're really lucky' you'll get to sing.
Tonight, at a large venue with fair rotation, on the other hand, I've learned to arrive early so I at least get to do 1 song. That's the best I can expect, so I have to make it something satisfying. If we did a duet, I wouldn't get a solo song at all because the duet would be it for both of us. You must have some venues with much, much shorter queues. I'm not desperate to do more than about 2 songs at any one time (I'd get hoarse) but really can't cope with hours of listening late into the night if I want to be at my desk with half a brain firing on Monday.
