James: Actually, I agree with Tom on this. Sure have LOUD music but don't flood the entire venue, leave some space for people to go off and talk without having to speak ear-to-ear or yell. And if earplugs merely reduce the sound to a loud stereo then its a bit loud imho and can't be healthy for those without earplugs ( which is the majority ).

Put a foldback in or orient the speakers if the singer wants loud.
