From the Where2sing.com forum:

James T Orr: Thanks for your advice, I have been warned that unless I was looking at going professional in some aspect, then it would be a waste of time..... I am wanting to improve more than I already have done in the last 18 months {and those who know me, will understand what I am saying} but I still want to go further than just quietly singing and being a sound tech's nightmare, to be able to have someone come up to me and say 'awesome' but also for me to know and appreciate that I have done justice to the song. As I was proof reading my entry I noticed you comment about pitch and tone, it is the breathing aspect that I would like to improve even more than I have.

Last year while in a competion for the first time, I was advised that I should be more aware of song choices but with limited knowledge and experience, it led to a falling out with someone whom I respected. I wish to show them that I can take unboard the advice and learn from the knowledge. After following all that I have learnt in the last 12 months, I put it all in to place, but still failed to achieve my goal, and from it I have learnt that I need to have a little more teaching to then be able to succeed.
