From the Where2sing.com forum:

Johnny Burrows WELCOME to the 60's 'frozen orange juice' is one of my all time best and I use it @ my gigs regular, Sarstedt's other 'Where do you go to My Lovely' is another obscure great hit from around 1968 although I find it a bit long and tedious for karaoke it is a great melody and at the right gig adds a pleasant feel!
Wayne Fontana's 'Pamela Pamela' is another one I have resurrected lately and have had good response and if you really really wanna look at another try The Tremeloes 'Suddenly You Love Me' this little number would suit you, it's almost a 'Sway' style tempo with 'ZAI ZAI ZAI' 'WOAH WOAH' chorusing that gives it a punch along!
The Bacharach one I have a couple of versions of, but it rarely gets done, however I do find in Karaoke if I sing it or get somebody to do it, people do latch on and start using the song so I will give it a go this week and see if I can promote it more, an example of this, I rarely do Neil Diamond mainly because the punters seem to swallow him up with his most popular songs so a few weeks ago took a deep breathe and performed 'If You Know What I Mean' a Diamond song I personally treasure and believe me out of all the Diamond fans and singers present they loved it but were not aware it was a Neil song ...... Amazing ... and now it's a fight between them to get in first with the song slip to sing it ????? He He
What does it tell me ....... My song book is a treasure trove of 20k plus songs covering all genres it is an adventure world of beautiful music ... so as a Host, I must promote it at all times so others can share that magic ... it is gratifying when I read comments such as yours JB regarding songs from a very exciting musical era that you (despite your youth) choose to sing and when a young man or lady takes the stage and pays their vocal patronage to songs from eras long past I know I am in the right business and it further justifies my commitment to stock and promote my songbook. Thank You!
