That Sunfly disc has my name all over it! LOL I LOVE those 3 songs! Been meaning to learn and try Judy In Disguise for a good while now. Hope it's a good version.

If I was still in the city I'd be there for sure but alas I'm not and don't like travelling that far on week nights. Sorry! However, I'm sure that location will guarantee an audience even on a Monday night. Definitely think the after work crowd is your best bet. Early finish too most likely given for most it's the start of the working week.

Val Doonican's Walk Tall - my theme song since I heard it as a little boy! Since hearing it again in adulthood, it does go on a bit but I still like the message. 'Walk Tall, walk straight and look the World right in the eye' Must try that one sometime just to show off with the long, low notes for 'Tall.' Hehehe.

I tend to learn a lot of music via karaoke also. Radio requires too much patience and most artists don't grab my attention enough to warrant buying their whole albums. These days, if I hear a song at karaoke I like, I look it up on YouTube or something and learn it there. Works for me. It is a pity when someone mangles a song though. I've often heard a song out of the blue one night and recognised it vaguely only to realise it's much better than I had thought it to be after only having heard it destroyed previously. LOL

Or visit the forums where both singers and hosts meet and chat - including State-chat forums where you can make friends whom you'll meet up with at a venue near you.

And there are the Gig Reviews, the constantly updated 'National Top 10 Karaoke Venues' chart, specialised lists of venues for Under 18s and currently running Competitions, lists for karaoke rooms, restaurants, karaoke hosts and supplliers, and karaoke news from all around the world.
