| From the Where2sing.com forum: well that's right Kev , for pubs i think the 6000 to 10000 song lists are quite ample ( as long as they are well up to date) , i too have gone ' mad ' over the years and built up well over 20000 songs ' total madness ' but hey 'what can a keen hobbyist do heheee lol , when i was doing ' private work ' i had around 15000 songs ( and here's a tip ) i would send out a book ( had 6 or so books for this reason ) a week or so prior so the family that was holding the party could 'look through ' with friends long before i got there , plus i would add on the postage costs to the fee on the night , what would happen is that when i turned up to the gig i would be presented with a list of songs and singers before i even started to set up , i found that by sending out a book had a much better effect than sending an email with the list of songs as people felt you some-how did more for them and with email wellll it became a bit iffy.......but as i said with pubs i reduced my list .
