Hey Billy T...
That's an incredibly generous offer you've made but please, don't do that! Thank you so much for the praise but you need that disc more than I, so I couldn't accept but again thank you very much. It would be wasted on me because I'd probably sing it at just a venue or 3 before I got bored with it. I'll certainly keep an eye out for it at karaoke now.
Just pulled out my Tremeloes 'Ultimate Collection' album now to figure out the notes on keyboard and you're quite right, that song isn't so high as I thought (only in the key of E. Harry Connick Jr's It Had To Be You is 'one up' from that in F so quite right. Most do-able). Looking at the album reminded me that there is one song of theirs I like even better: Helule Helule! Aw heck. Too many of their songs I enjoy.
I know it's sacrilegious to some but I much prefer them to their contemporaries The Beatles whom Decca Records turned down the same week in 1962 that they signed The Tremeloes. I do LOVE a lot of the music various members of The Beatles have written but vocally, for me it's the Tremeloes hands down AND they had good music. Just my preference and I don't expect everyone to share my taste there.
Rainbow Connection!! I recall some guy around my age or a little older asking me aaaaaaaaaaages ago if anyone had that song and I hadn't seen it on any lists anywhere. Last year, I discovered this 19 y.o. girl who befriended me online loved the song too. She used to make me sing it to her over the phone. So, given the age range of appeal, I say, good choice. The Muppets were popular after all and that is a classic song so I'm sure there'll be many a singer of it once they discover it in the song book. Maybe not every week but certainly often enough to warrant its addition. As for the rest of the tracks you had to get if I understand you correctly, I'm sure there'll be at least some takers on those too.
