| From the Where2sing.com forum: Thanks LB & JB - I suppose I've been dealt with that 'wink wink' I know how it works!' attitude from some punters and I find it quite embarrasing to the point you become almost paranoid making sure everything is above board and super sensitive to unfounded criticisms..
The only talent quest my business is involved with 'Stairway to the Stars' was beyond reproach with regards to Judging, consolation prizes(26),trophies (12) and 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes however it did not stop one or two having a snied dig with their perceptions and as you state Johnny their patriotism doesn't seem to wain too long.
Oh Johnny thanks for the Elvis tip just tried the Velvet Elvis version different and gives some room for vocal experimentation, now talking about vocals I think it may have been harpoet in a previous post listing Alice Coopers classic 'Only Women Bleed' a great song needing a particular style of voice which reminded me of another classic by Roger Daltry 'Giving It All The Way' this piece is brilliant 'I paid all my dues so I picked up my shoes, I got up and walked away, For I was just a Boy Giving It all Away!' I have adored this song forever but there was no Karaoke version until I requested it from our mates @ Sunfly who put it on a Most Wanted 873 along with 'Crunchy Granola Suite' two karaoke first's so if anyone's looking for a great challenge try 'Giving'
