| From the Where2sing.com forum: Lex - Thanks for the input, the safety needs for children at these events is paramount as with any venue where alcohol is consumed parents must take a responsible role for their kids well being as you have rightly indicated.
As a host I will expect and encourage at all times parents or guardians participation in games and dances i.e. with the limbo rock two adults will control the limbo trees and adults and kids will participate.
Most of my stuff like the limbo and air guitars are inflateable therefore not having too much hardware around the fun areas so avoiding injuries.
The Special Kids Karaoke Songbooks are filled with kids karaoke songs & nursery rhymes in addition there is a story book section with about 6 short stories and my printer has spewed out heaps of puzzles and quizes that are included to keep the little blighters amused at the tables (if possible)!
Wigs and Dress Ups are available and of course as the project gains popularity we plan Theme oriented events where everyone gets involved not forgetting the Glow sticks and bracelets that everyone enjoys!
However without the support of the parents participation it gets back to the 'same old same old' and I know there will be a lot of parents like yourself Lex that are willing to pitch in and make it worthwhile. Thanks Mate! (Why not Migrate West)
