1. As a Host every singer is my friend and providing the rotation is done in a fair and equal basis then so what.
My advice to the poster is, build a bridge and get over it.
2. Now as to singer’s exclusive rights to a particular song at Karaoke, well I’m sorry but no one has that right at my Show.
1st come 1st served.
However if a person puts in the same song that has been already sung, I will generally inform the singer that it’s already been done and ask if they really want to sing it again and would they like to pick another song.
If not I will space it out and play it again.
After all it’s their 5 minutes of time.
This actually happened last night with the song “She Hates Me” by Puddle of Mud.
It was sung twice and everyone sang along with it on both occasions.
Now there you go Tom, a great song for you to learn and sing in some of the Pubs you visit.
Warning though “Will Robinson”, does contain explicit Lyrics and generally not sung at R.S.L’s, Bowling Clubs, Retirement Villages or where children are allowed.
