There isn't a single industry where a decent quid was to be made that hasn't had to deal with more & more competitors cutting prices ... it's the nature of a Free Market Economy . Understand how it works , (take an ''industry'' perspective by putting yourself in the shoes of the venue , the punter & the operator) , then go out & compete at the top end of the industry , where , if you have a quality show , the people with money will want you to come & do gigs for them. Leave the el cheapo's to the cheap & nasty venues .if you are any good you'll survive & prosper , if you're not , you'll have to battle in the ruck with the rest of them at the bottom end of the industry . Like it or not , Karaoke today is a very , VERY competitive game . Make sure you're a REAL player , & not a pretender , & you'll do just fine .... Good Luck !!
