What I was trying to explain to you was that at least Johnny, although obviously not fond of this gent, was also able to see that he did have some good characteristics. Do I agree with the context of what he posted - Yes! Do I agree with mentioning the person's name - No! Am I a friend of Johnny's - Yes, I would like to think so.
As a friend is it necessary for me to 'allow' (your words) or disallow people to display negative opinions - I would not want the responsibility of being their censor nor do I believe it is my right to do so. I do KNOW that I have never posted any overexaggeration of another's, or my own, abilities or talent, but then, what may be overexaggeration to you, to another may be truth. All of the arts are subjective to people's personal opinions and tastes. What may be music to one person's ears is only noise to another. As for reality and fantasy, Van Gogh was ridiculed by the critics. That am I sure was reality but his fantasy gave him the will to continue and to be later become one of the world's most renowned artists. Biased, of course I am and proud to be so! My bias reflects my life, my personal choices in everything: partner, friends, food, music, art, clothes etc. As long as it is done without racial or cultural prejudice, bias it not something I would ever be ashamed of.
