It might be the customers you lost and never see again. To give a concrete example, gigs in the Hunter Valley will never know of our complaints. We just don't go. But neither do we encourage anyone else to go. If anyone asked us we'd just say 'great bloodhouse if you're looking for a fight or want to add deafness to a compo claim - otherwise forget it'. So they lost us and our various contacts whom we had been inviting along. Those people, in turn, will not be going, nor will anyone they might have told - a chain reaction. So they continue to focus on their few mates who come along, making sure that someone sings Paradise by the Dashboard, whether they can sing or even want to sing. It becomes a small private party instead of a business. I saw the same at CBD. Focus on the few rowdies but lost my trade for all time. Good riddance, you say? Some business model, I say. Keep the day job.
