Chatty's VERY close to public transport. If you take the train, it's straight up the stairs and (keeping left on the pathway) only about 20m away. The 545 bus to Chatswood from Parra stops about the same distance as from the train station and again, all you have to do is keep travelling the same direction as the bus was going.
Chatty is TARDIS-like: shabby, nondescript entrances but massive and fairly plush inside. ;)
I ought to hear from my friend tomorrow as to whether it's Chatty or St Marys for me this weekend. Either way, I'm looking forward to it as always. =)
