From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hi Johnny B,Ray learns his songs off by heart but it gets him when anyone puts him in for a song hes not sure of.Of course not everyone knows he has a problem.Actually you'd be surprised just how many people there are out there with Dyslexia that get up and sing at karaoke,And it has helped Ray enourmously in his everyday work etc.Do you know that Tom Cruise,Cher, and David Spielberg(sp) are all Dyslexic to name a few,and look how they've faired in their lives. its a shame that so many people are ashamed of having this problem. And its also surprising how many others just think that Dyslexics are just stupid and wont learn. It was funny when Ray went for his driving permit to learn to drive and the man behind the counter stepped back (like he had a desease or something nasty) when told about Rays condition and said ,He needs to get a doctors certificate....Like WHAT??!! I can tell you I really told that guy off.The guy was in his 60s.I told him he should know better.Anyway Ray did pass his driving test first time.He only has to be shown something and he's got it.Not me he can show me till the cows come home things on the computer but it doe'snt stick in my head. Its just as well that we're all different I suppose thats what evens everything up in the end.You said that you were going to a magic show tonight,Would that be the same one that I am going to with friends at Homebush?I was hoping to see you over the last couple of weeks 'cos I had some free tickets and you could have had some, but they were for the daytime shows and I thought maybe you would be working.Anyway John hope you'll soon feel better and we'll get to catch up.OK?...Pat x x
