| From the Where2sing.com forum: I don't think a psych is needed to work this one out... all seems pretty common sense to me. I'm actually an IT Manager, I know, some may say I'm still not an expert to comment, and I agree I may not be, but I'm just giving my opinion from past experience. Sometimes, yes, age can be an issue, but sometimes, people just have other interests! Some people just like sport, or going out clubbing, and have no time for computers, nor want to know, just like some of us might not care about watching any sport/going clubbing... some people like karaoke, some people don't! you have swings and roundabouts, and have to remember we're all individuals and like different things. I know plenty of people who get scared at the word 'computer' or even new technology, and even if they use it, just stay to the basics they know to complete any tasks. I think if we are all aware about this and know how to use it, then we should share this knowledge and help others! We've all been scared of doing things for the first time that we don't know or is new to us. Some of us jump at the chance to try new things, but others may need reassurance, or just avoid it all together. .. how many have been scared at their first time at karaoke and wouldn't go up!
