| From the Where2sing.com forum: R&V and Believer - We are on the same wavelength and as you guys know I have found Tom's attitude and opinions not only challenging but highly contradictory in past months however it does stimulate great opinion and response from W2Sers, granted Tom's obvious 'one eyed' perception of the world places him in a unique place here at W2S and as a psychologist he should be fully aware of what constitutes the 'Norm' in human behaviour (I think) and giving him that benefit of the doubt I have in past posts hinted Tom is having fun with us with a 'psychcological windup' for his research hee hee!
I have in the past challenged and chastised Tom regarding his negative and sometimes insulting reviews of his Karaoke experiences on this forum as I truly believe,Believer, that form of advertising is bad for NSW karaoke and is equally negative for the promotion of W2S!
All that aside including the many suggestions that Tom receives about finding another hobby, Tom still exists in our 'fraternity' and I believe is welcomed at venues he frequents. I have to maintain an 'open mind' towards my customers and W2Sers this process allows me and my business to tolerate and make allowances for all sorts of behaviours when working or attending venues that serve alcohol however I do draw the line to anti social and violent demonstrations unfortunately no venue is completely free of that and Tom's consistent 'broken record' campaign I believe (through his own creation) has typecast him into this 'ageist ' whinger when on consideration has simply 'mirrored' the ugly image that does exist out there.
I do not believe a Tom Show would be as suggested I believe Tom is a normal karaoke punter that enjoys the fellowship Karaoke offers and has genuine concerns for it's longevity however it is the way he goes about it on W2S that loses the translation, in Tom's last post he refers to being 'sensitive' to each others needs and openly admits he is somewhat remiss at that I am trying to put that into practice so Tom, its your turn now!
