How can you not say that you are being quite closed minded to say that people who like loud music or loudness in general have a low IQ? In terms of any discrimination topics that you yourself bring up constantly, I would say the implication that you are both making has to be the most antidiscriminatory and defamatory of the lot. I know plenty people of all levels of standard IQ testing that enjoy loud music and others that dont. Did you go to university? University is said to have a high level of higher IQ people (though there are many people of high IQs that have not been to university (may I say here that i dont agree so much with standard IQ anyway!) University is full of high noise parties with loud music and fun. My guess is, if you did go to uni, you were too busy studying perhaps and you missed out on the real world.
As for you Tom, being a psychologist, I would like you to show me one snippet of research that has implied, let alone proven that louder music or noise is correlated with lower IQ. Some of the things you say are a complete waste of time and space. Maybe the less comments you make about karaoke the better!
