| From the Where2sing.com forum: What actually is related to karaoke? And what should be spoken about on this forum? There is the psychology of karaoke, hearing, people's behaviour, how to host, songs that are sung, karaoke stories, how to improve our experience at karaoke ... I would have thought that most would want to discuss ways of improving people's experience at karaoke and improving the general perception of karaoke in the wider community.
Look at the topics that have been discussed about karaoke: rotation, song list, competitions, ideas to make the karaoke shows ore fun ... why is it that we are constanty concenrtating on the negatives of these. What about suggestions on how to do things better!
So for rotation for example, one place that i have been to had a neon light sign with the next 2 singers on it. It could not cost much to buy so could hosts employ something like that. One other venue, Knox Club in Melbourne, would tell on the microphone the next 5-10 singers in the order so people would know where they were and they would then be ready for their song. These are easy ways of improving these issues.
What are some easy suggestions that people have seen or can think of for other things?
