| From the Where2sing.com forum: Born2sing......Yes you are right about business in general but with karaoke you are dealing in ' Show-business ' and as the ol' saying goes ' there is no business like show-business ' , in the past I and others have detailed the differance , but there is a big differance to some-one persenting there resume' and hoping for a call back to some-one using ' Dirty tricks ' ( ie.... spreading false rumors about the current host .... befriending the host and there patrons and then starting to complain about the way the show is ran....under-cutting just for the sake of ruining the current host job and not really working on a proper working budget , so does' business is business' means to scoop to any level just to get the job or should some-one in business work on a professional level and operate that business on a standard that that you can have pride in how you go about things . ...no-one is saying people shouldn't canvess karaoke shows , what i am saying is that there is a fair and decent way of going about things , not a nasty dirty under-handed way of doing business
