| From the Where2sing.com forum: born2sing ......Yes in many cases managers will be loyal to there hosts if they are fully happy with the way things are going and there is not a large amount of differance in the quote $$$$$ BUT there are publicans out there that can-not see pass there wallets and when persented with a quote some-times in the hundreds of dollars cheaper but generally $50 to $100 less and then especially they are spun alot of bull-sh*t saying there gear is the same quaity, simular amount of songs ( many times there lists are full of burnt discs ) etc etc ...some publicans just can't help themselves and give them a try , then they find out how wrong they were but the demage has been done , not a healthy thing for karaoke in general , but please don't think show-business can be operated like any other business Fullstop ! , as any host can tell you there is the business side .. but there is an other side to the entertainment field that many many other business DO-NOT have to cope with , you are dealing with peoples feelings / emotions /dreams / personal devolopment ....ie..with .a milk-bar you are dealing with people for a couple of minutes ...entertainment you are dealing with people on a very much more personal level for hours , many times week in & week-out and there are so many more reasons i could go into , but later for that , You see the karaoke world is a small world and if you do things strictly on a cold business level , that can come back and bite you well and truely on the Bum , you mu8st conduct your business in a high professional level be fair and just if you wish to be in the industry for a good length of time and make a good living from it .......but remember as i said many publicans can't think and see pass there wallets..
