| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hey Guys - Ain't Karaoke full of surprises, last nights gig is usually a very small one, historically a few singers (doing a good job) and the bar enjoying the fun, so if you can imagine the setting you will understand my alarm when a stranger to us puts in his AC/DC selections for the night (this can be and is a hosts nightmare) first one being 'You Shook Me All Night Long' and believe me guys I was getting very prepared to be SHOOOOOKKk lol!
Anyway up he gets and gives us the Best tribute to Bon Scott I have ever heard anyone @ Karaoke do (Phew!) and believe me Tom with very controlled loudness, all I can say is Thank You Joel for some great entertainment and we look forward to seeing you again and again!
It does not stop there, I remember an Aussie Rock concert I attended at The Capital Theatre in Perth round about 1965 it had a host of rockers such as Jade Hurley, Ray Brown & The Whispers and Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs plus others, well back then as you can imagine the theatre was cracking open with screaming kids almost impossible to hear the performers however during Thorpey's bracket he slipped into 'Over The Rainbow' and I will never forget how this song quelled the crowd, you could almost hear a pin drop, anyway last night another new singer by the name of Dave transported me back in time with his tribute to that song and Billy Thorpe absolutely brilliant thanks again Dave!
As we all know just when you think you've got it all 'sussed' out up come the surprises, karaoke's like that I suppose lol!
