M......i don't think Victorians in general are so full-on / passionate / over the top with karaoke (as much as they once were ) , i mean well ! , look at the Victorian karaoke club , once a very active site , pretty much like this site , up until about a year or two ago , then nothing ,and now i think its mainly Sammo that keeps that site going heehee (as far as the forum goes ) ........As far as the people turning to computer and/or burnt discs , well yes it is very expensive buying discs ,Gee's i think we have well over 1200 discs and i'm sure if we took out the duplicates , we would have only needed to buy about 800-900 discs , BUT!! ,as i've always said that all discs purchasing should be incorparated into every show fee , so the cost should not be a problem , Granted this for many is becoming a serious problem (incorparating all costs) because these days the under-cutters are now under-cutting the under-cutters , and as both you & I know , there are some people out there doing shows because ' they love karaoke ' and ' as a hobby ' & as i read recently ' to make a bit of pocket money ' , there are one or two that see's karaoke hosting as nothing more than a party (social ) night out ( Gawd !!! those saying make my blood boil !!!) ...may-be the thing is this , karaoke in Victoria is on the decline as a few keen judges have been saying for some time now..
