Someone asked why the Victorians don't post. Have been wanting to post for sometime now, but have waited for the site to ease off a bit on Comps. We all have our own thoughts on competitions. I haven't run with one now for two years, but have decided to go ahead in 2006.
So a message to all the competition (non-haters), and no pressure on the competition (haters). We will be running with the Karaoke World Idol for Victoria. So to any hosts in Vic that would like to send me an email of interest, please do so. If you have been involved before with the National Organisers (advertised on this site) and they have been in touch with you, contact me but please state that you have the connection with them. David, am I allowed to put our website and my email address in the chat forum. We are on the site under MJE Karaoke (Vic)
Like many others, I go with the flow and how my own personal situation is placed at the time. Don't need competitions, but also enjoy them and I do like to see new talent or singers improve overtime and comps do help them do this. It does raise the bar.
I can also just enjoy the relaxation of Karaoke for fun and enjoy the pleasure of friends company.
I said I would never judge a competition, but have recently done that and it was a good learning curve.
Sammo, promise I won't bug you on our get together night about the competition., that is my relaxation night.
I will only approach the hosts or venues that I think may be interested, but my door is open to anyone who would like to chat about it and gather further information. The idea is to get the ball rolling for early Feb 2006. So this is the time to approach your venues to get them locked in for the start of the year.
To punters, if you know of any venues, that you can persuade to come on board, or would like me to contact, please feel free to contact me, phone number on our site.
