| From the Where2sing.com forum: A very few people have a static (always the same) IP address allocated to them by their service provider, and, yes, some people go through a proxy server which masks their final destination IP address (by acting as the destination IP itself, but actually passing information on to the destination IP known only to the proxy server as a way to provide untrackable surfing for the end user). But most people are allocated a different IP every time they start their Internet connection.
And the IP address that one person has today can sometimes be allocated to a different W2Ser next week, or next month or even next year. But when two people Sign In within minutes of each other and are both on the same IP, the odds are that they are in the same location. And that's why tracking the IP is an important part of the W2S assessment of whether two Sign Ins are by the same person - but this IP tracking is just one component of quite intricate assessment criteria.
The IP addresses recently seen by the W2S server for your PC are 203.134.111.194 and 203.134.13.194 - I'm thinking that your 192.168.1.101 local address means that your computers are connected through a wireless network or cable LAN, and then through to your ADSL box?
