| From the Where2sing.com forum: re Top 10: I have always believed that Chatswood gets its rating because it is reliable, fair, safe, convenient and has a good supportive atmosphere. The fact that many regulars vote on the internet merely shows that they are computer literate, take their hobby seriously, and see this is their venue in common (even though they attend many others).
Singing quality ought to have little to do with an open-mike amateur activity. There is a great range of talent, including some who have sung professionally, but mostly random. As an indication of how little they value the 'vocal gymnastics' of comps, they have moved toward a draw rather than comp format. I think there is a lesson here.
