| From the Where2sing.com forum: Kev: Ahhh, the joys of using equipment you've never seen before... lol. Was mostly in-house mixers and whatnot but this mixer was pretty old so had to fight it a little bit... lol. Had some of my Campbelltown regulars show up which was great but was pretty quiet for the first half of the night. Had a few people who seemed to have sung karaoke before trickle in and by the end of the night was sitting on a rotation of 12 singers. Interesting to note that with but for a few exceptions, everyone in the room was singing (so not many people in the room) but the front bar was completely empty.
It could have been really easy to say that our first night wasn't a success given the promotion that I'd given it but I think seeing as it was Valentine's Day and that everyone in the pub was in the karaoke area, I think it bodes well for the coming weeks.
