These type of nights can be carelessly perceived as good 'just like a family' get togethers, unfortunately I have seen them destroy a venues attraction and eventually the Karaoke is run by a 'clique' of performers entertaining themselves ( not much room left for the host to practice 'shaping behaviours'), as JB's example of the R'n'B gig this may be 'cool' and accepted however 'word of mouth' is the best form of advertising and the growth of these 'shows' through 'Entertainment Value' diminishes very quickly!
So Guys your in the Entertainment Industry whether ya like it or not , so if you wanna see your local grow and your regular Karaoke fix available don't 'punish' the Variety of Entertainment that Karaoke promises and you certainly won't lose it!
